When should you book your first pregnancy consultation?
Book as soon as you have a positive pregnancy test, or if you have bleeding, pain, or a previous pregnancy complication and want earlier review. A first visit is also useful if you are still deciding next steps after a late period. Bring any test reports you already have. If you are planning a pregnancy and have not conceived yet, start with preconception notes or a clinic visit to discuss timing, folic acid, and health checks.
High-risk pregnancy care
Some pregnancies need closer follow-up because of medical history, twins, blood-pressure or sugar concerns, previous complications, or findings that appear during this pregnancy. That does not mean something is already wrong—it means the schedule is organised more carefully. - When should I book my first pregnancy visit?
As soon as the test is positive is a good time, even if you feel well. Come earlier if you have pain, bleeding, or a history that makes you anxious. We can also see you if you are unsure whether the test is reliable. A positive home test shows pregnancy hormone is present; the first visit is how we begin assessing the pregnancy itself.
- What should I bring?
Bring a list of medicines and supplements, previous obstetric or medical records, and any recent blood or scan reports. If this is your first visit and you have nothing yet, come anyway—we can start from your history.
- Is high-risk pregnancy care different from routine antenatal visits?
The clinic and the doctor are the same. High-risk care usually means more frequent reviews, closer reading of blood pressure, growth, and test results, and a clearer plan for when hospital review is safer. Read more on the high-risk pregnancy page.
- Where will I deliver?
Clinic visits are in Tellapur. Deliveries are planned at associated hospitals, including CARE Hospitals (Hitech city) and 9M Ankura Khajaguda, depending on your needs and the discussion during antenatal care.
- Do you arrange scans and laboratory tests?
Yes. We guide which tests and scans are useful at each stage, review the reports with you, and explain what they mean for the rest of the pregnancy. Not every visit needs a new scan.
